Being fully pregnant, Maggie endures the change in herself as well as the changes around her. From comments such as “You are holding the future” and “…being with child…in your condition”, Maggie is strangled and suffocated.

THE EOE-FBS

FASHION-OBJECT: Headpiece wooden frame with webbing of string, holding up a pair of headphones worn by the model. The webbing entangles and infects the model wearing black.

STAGE-SET: Projection of space webbing on the surface, purple lights and white diffused lights lighting the space.

DIALOGUE w. STAGE DIRECTIONS

WALKS IN FRONT OF THE PROJECTION, STANDS IN THE MIDDLE FACING THE AUDIENCE:

WALK FORWARD, TOWARDS THE SEATED AUDIENCE

SLOWLY RAISES ARMS, GRABBING THE OUTSIDE OF THE FRAME:

SLOWLY WALK OUT, HOLDING THE HEADPHONES AND ATTEMPTING TO REACH OUT TO AUDIENCE:

The pregnant body in public is obscene. It raidates a kind of smug autoeriticism….

…. an intimate relation is going on—one that is visible to others, but that decisively excludes them.
