ARMATURE This video explores structures
with resilient qualities similar to my wearable work. These structures would deploy
polyethylene slats with the help of pool cover system and then be covered in
fabric. These systems overlay the Montlake Cut, temporarily closing the wound of
this man-made feature [cut] as a reminder of the figure Sita and her fate at the end of
the Ramayana epic.
This is also a reminder of the feminine strength and resilience portrayed in Alexander McQueen’s show, Pantheon ad Lucem (‘Towards the Light”).
