DRESSING AND DEFINING I dress to define, I dress to show, I dress to exhibit, I dress to protect. Depict or decipher – Like a double edge sword, by depicting ourselves through a shell, we are allowing others to decipher our persona. An identity statement now becomes a label. Only when the space integrates with our core, when subconscious actions reflect on the space around us – then it can only be an accurate depiction of who we are. You are not what you show, you are what you do. Like our identity, architecture transforms with us. Architecture promises liberation. Identity cannot be forged; identity cannot be dictated. Identity can only be represented when we truly transform. Fashion defines identity, identity defines architecture.
