BASED ON THE theoretical concept of khôra, collage becomes a process-tool that cuts, shuffles and anagrams existing ideas into new, shifting meanings. A wearable wrap is made from baling wire sewn into hand-dyed canvas, translated from forms discovered in a collage exercise around the female figure in Mies Van Der Rohe's Barcelona Pavilion. The wearable object becomes a mutable form, able to be manipulated around the body in relation to space and expression. UW's Gould Hall is similarly cut and collaged through photographs and models to expose surreal almost-familiar spaces. Alexander McQueen's models inhabit these new anagrammed spaces in clothes from the 2008 Belmer La Poupeé show.
